Springtime...hopefully it stays this way.

Mila was so happy the weather was nice again(4 days after the snow) she was running around looking at everything so happy. I love this picture. I took it at just the right time, both her feet are in the air.

Michael and Mila were looking at the remnants of the snowman...three sticks and three rocks. we also sang, "Once there was a snowman" a couple times.

She was so excited to have a flower open up in the front yard. She just kept looking about it. She knows she can't pick them and she loves telling other people not to pick the flowers.

Mila's first snowman

On April 13th it was sunny and beautiful. Mila was riding her tricycle in front of the house. She was having a lot of fun with my mom while I studied.

On April 15th this is what it looked like:

My brother Mike just got into town and they all decided to go out and build a snowman. This was the first snowman she has ever made and I was so sad I wasn't there for it. Probably about now I was sitting in my Contracts final trying to remember what I learned. When I got home later we played and fixed the snowman.

After the snowman building(and fixing), my brother said he was going to throw a snowball at Mila. She started running away and crying(she tends to overreact sometimes). Then he made a snowball and gave it to her and told her to throw it at him. Then she got excited and had a lot fun chasing after him. I was glad that I at least got to be there for her first snowball fight.

Mila is putting hair on the snowman because she decided it was a girl snowman, and it needed long hair.

Easter

My Mom was here for Easter helping me during finals. It was so great to have her help, and Mila had so much fun.
Here is Mila getting her hair fixed for Easter.

Silly smile but sweet pose.

Another Silly face. I am not sure what that one was about.

Cute smile finally and all ready for church in her new Easter dress.

Easter basket after church. Is it weird i don't really mention the Easter Bunny? She just gets a basket from me and her grandmas.

My sweet girl is getting so big. I can't believe how much she has grown.

Easter Egg Hunt

The day before Easter we went to a neighborhood/ward/friends Easte egg hunt. Mila had a lot of fun...even though it was raining a little.

Walking to the Burns' house with raincoats and umbrellas. Mila outgrew her ladybug rain boots, so Anna wore them.

Finding Eggs.

Mila and Anna with their loot. So happy and cute.

Anna came over to play. They have so much fun, but we never get a picture with them both smiling and looking at the camera so this was a rare photo that I had to post.

Feeding the Ducks

On Saturday March 14th, Mila asked to go feed the ducks. She has only gone one other time in the fall with some of our friends, but she remembered and asked to go. It was a gorgeous day(and less than a week after the snow) so we got some bread and went over to the duck pond. Mila had so much fun, and kept yelling "He ate it," every time a duck ate a piece of bread she threw.

Here she is asking me if the size piece she has is okay.

Talking to the ducks. I am lucky she didn't fall in.
The ducks were smart enough to run away if she got too close.

Snowy March Day

On Monda(March 9th) it snowed so much. I didn't even wear a coat to school that morning because sunday afternoon/evening was so nice. Of course I did send Mila to school with a coat and hat and everything. Good thing I did because when my class got out at 4:40 it was snowing like this. I can't believe how much the weather has gone back and forth the past few days. It is no wonder Mila is a little sick.

This picture was taken seconds before a meltdown when she realized her giraffe had snow on it.

It was snowing really hard!

Tromping through the snow...away from me and the car.

Nothing says spring in Utah like the beautiful purple flowers in front of the house covered in snow.

Movie Night

Every Saturday night(well most) Mila and I have a movie night. We just hang out and watch a movie in our pajamas. She loves it. It is a good way to end a usually busy Saturday.

The beginning of movie night...all snuggled up.

The end of movie night...watching the movie upside down between her legs. My silly girl cannot sit still for long. She was very proud when she discovered she could watch the movie this way.

First time Ice Skating

On President's day, I decided to take Mila ice skating for the first time. I wasn't sure how it would go. Luckily, they have the walker-type things, and once Mila tried it she loved it. The second time around she didn't want me to hold on to her. She insisted on doing it herself. Of course she fell a lot, but she only cried once. She also didn't want me to help her get up after she fell. She really tried to get up, but there was no way. She finally let me help her.

She had her hands on her knees and said, "I do this" She had big hopes for her first time ice skating. I don't know where she learned that from, though.

My camera battery died before I could get any pictures of her skating, a less grumpy picture of us, or pictures with our friends than came along(Joseph, Janae, Hyrum, Asher and Amalia Wise).

More Hair

Big funny smile!

A few weeks ago, I went to check on Mila before I went to bed, and I thought it was so funny that she had managed to take off her pajamas. I had to take a picture, but the joke was on me because I didn't realize that she had managed to take off her pull-up too. She woke me up at about 1 am because she was soaking wet. I had to change her and all the sheets and most of the blankets. What a night.

Pigtails and Puppy Dogs

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. However, I just turned in my appellate brief, so after I catch up on sleep, I might be able to catch up on blogging. Here are some pictures from last month. I have been trying to fix Mila's hair more, and the other day I did manage braids, but after sitting on my lap in chirch they were completely gone. I got some hints from my friend Amy, and so I have been trying to get better at dealing with all of her hair.

Ready for church.

Mila loves her Woofie and I was trying to get a picture of her hair(I got it pulled back halfway-- what an accomplishment!) and she just decided to pose like this. So sweet. I think she realizes it is easier to just pose so I will take the picture and then leave her alone.
