Mila loves to help me. Her new thing is helping with the dishes. She is so happy when she feels like she is helping. I love my sweet girl.

Back in Provo

I know I haven't posted in a long time. That is mostly because of out move to Utah. We moved out of our house on July 19th and then stayed with my parents for a few weeks. On Aug 8th we went to Michigan to my cousin's wedding. On Aug 9th we went to our family reunion in Chicago and headed out from there to Utah. It took us a couple days, but we made it. Mila was really good on the drive. Well, pretty good considering we were driving 6-9 hours a day. We got to Utah about 5pm on Monday the 11th of August. My parents stayed for about a week while we got settled. My mom helped me check out childcare places for Mila and we found a place we really liked. She got really sick the day we dropped my parents off at the airport. We had to put off starting childcare for a day while she recovered. But she was well enough to start by the time my orientation for law school started. I was really lucky she didn't get sick a day later. She loves her childcare/preschool. She only cried the second day I dropped her off. Now she just runs off to put her stuff away to go play. I just finished my first week of law school, and it is going okay. It is definitely a lot of work, and I really appreciate the time I am able to spend with Mila. I will post more updates as we go along. I just posted a few pictures of some of the things we've been up to in the last month or two.

Trip to South Carolina

On July 25-29 I went to South Carolina with my friends Corissa and Laura to visit our friend Laisa. We have known each other since we were 12 so it was fun to get together and reminisce. We are already planning another friends trip to Texas in 2010.

Manuel and Nicole's wedding

We went to my cousin Manuel's wedding before we left for Utah. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a lot of fun.

They got married on the beach, and Mila loved the sand, although she needed her sandals cleaned out every couple minutes.

We had to have a special goodbye for Corissa, Ethan and Brody. We are going to miss you guys! Mila and Brody actually sat for some pictures. They had fun playing at the park, too.

Cousin weekend

At the end of July, Mila and I spent a few days with my Aunt Eva in Schererville, we went to the zoo, but I have to get those pictures back so I can post them. Then we went to Aurora and hung out with my Aunt Marisol. Mila got to hang out with my cousin Emme who is about 7 months older than her. She had so much fun.

My cousin Elena painted Mila's toes for the first time. She was so proud of them. Oh my little girly girl...I guess I better get used to this.

Here are a few pictures I took when Mila and I were playing in my parents backyard. It's amazing how much fun we can have with a ball in the backyard just throwing it and chasing it. I love my little girl.
